ICLLCD 2024

The 3rd International Conference on Literature, Language, and Culture Development (ICLLCD 2024) was a hybrid conference which included several workshops (offline and online) around the world. Dr. Rick Arrowood from Northeastern University and Dr. Ioannis Panagiotou from University of Edinburgh have chaired these workshops on related topics. ICLLCD 2024 provided the participants with good opportunities to exchange ideas and build networks, and it will lead to further collaborations between both universities and other societies.

The workshop focused on the dynamics of personality and behaviors within leadership contexts, Dr. Arrowood provided a comprehensive overview encompassing energy preferences, information processing methods, decision-making styles, and worldview perspectives. The workshop featured experiential exercises aimed at enhancing participants’ understanding of fundamental concepts and emphasized the intricacies of the leader-follower relationship. Attendees engaged in insightful discussions regarding how personality and attitudes shape individual behaviors, further enriching their understanding of effective leadership practices.

The workshop Addressed the contemporary challenges in film scoring and aimed to foster a deeper understanding of GMN's role in communicating complex musical ideas within visual narratives. It strived to bridge the gap between traditional film scoring and modern sound design by encouraging participants to investigate expressive timbral techniques, use instrumentation as a narrative device, explore collaborative sound design, and integrate cutting-edge technology into GMN. The workshop aspired to cultivate a community dedicated to pushing the boundaries of music for film, embracing the potential of Graphic Music Notation as a powerful tool for shaping the future of cinematic soundscapes.

Online Session

The online session of the 3rd International Conference on Literature, Language, and Culture Development (ICLLCD 2024) was held on April 27, 2024. Dr. Rick Arrowood from Northeastern University and Dr. Ioannis Panagiotou from University of Edinburgh have given keynote speeches on related topics. Also, we invited authors of qualified papers to deliver oral presentations at the Online Session. Four authors have presented their studies of culture, language, leadership, etc. Questions from the audience were collected and answered by the presenters.
